How To Install Sandisk U3 Launchpad
Install U3 on a Sandisk Cruzer Micro. Straight from your Sandisk cruzer, without having to install it on your computer. SanDisk: U3 LaunchPad. Uninstall and Install U3. Updater that can actually install the Launchpad (and there fore U3) if it has been removed from one of Their drives is Sandisk. Though I found the drive itself to be excellent, I didn’t have any use for the installed “U3 Launchpad” application. Formatting the drive didn’t remove the app, though eventually I discovered how to remove the U3 Launchpad software from my Sandisk USB drive.
I'm sure it was a great program, but it doesn't work anymore and will need a massive code cleanup to support the latest libusb.

Works great! just run what Adam posted 'u3-tool -p0 /dev/sgX' without the quotes and 'X' replacing what it says for your device !OH and MAKE sure you run it with sudo!! or root, otherwise it wont work and give you errors. This is just to clarify for those of us who dont use the terminal and get lost with cli. thanks daviedev
